Why MADRE is born
We live in a time when our everyday choices impact Earth’s web of life. Soil washes away and once-vibrant forests fall silent. Rivers fill with polluted runoff from quick fixes. Communities that have cared for the land for thousands of years now feel lost as their traditions slip away. When we lose this connection, ecosystems break down, livelihoods shrink, and our cultural bond to the land unravels.
Born at the crossroads of lived wisdom and cutting-edge inquiry, MADRE emerges to weave those torn threads back together. We partner with stewards of place and pioneers of innovation, honoring ancestral practices while co-creating systemic solutions. In doing so, we spark regenerative economies, and support a shared journey toward what truly sustains life.
MADRE stands for Modern Ancestral Development for a Regenerative Earth. We chose the name MADRE, Spanish for Mother because it reflects who we are: a return to the source, to the nourishing, life-giving force of nature itself. In many traditions, Mother Earth is more than a metaphor. She is the living system that sustains all life. MADRE honors this relationship and reminds us that regeneration is about reconnecting with the wisdom of life.

She is certified in Regenerative Economics & Investment by the Capital Institute and collaborates with the Earth Law Center in advancing the Rights of Nature.

With a background in business strategy, superfoods, and functional mushrooms, Felipe bridges the worlds of clean technology and regenerative health and nutrition to support personal and planetary healing. After years of cultivating supply chains, he now channels his vision into MADRE, where he integrates business, health, and consciousness to reimagine the way we live and lead.
